We had always envisioned celebrating our marriage surrounded by everyone who holds a special place in our hearts. Frank imagined a grand wedding filled with love, laughter, and dancing, while Jesus, ever practical, joked that a quick trip to the courthouse might be the easier route. We dreamed of striking a balance, creating a celebration that was both meaningful and intimate.
But as the planning unfolded, the guest list grew faster than we could have anticipated. Ten guests became twenty, twenty became fifty, and before we knew it, we were facing over one hundred names. It became clear that having a wedding large enough to include everyone we love would be both financially and emotionally overwhelming.
Wanting to stay true to what mattered most, our love and the promise we were making to each other, we decided to elope. In just two months, we planned a deeply personal celebration. We arranged a private ceremony, booked a cozy Airbnb, and organized a trip to the Olympic Peninsula. On the morning of our wedding day, we woke up and got ready together, feeling excited and at peace. We walked down to a dock where we exchanged vows, surrounded by the beauty of the water and the love of close friends. Afterward, we cut cake and celebrated with a hike to a breathtaking waterfall, where we shared a picnic.
Later, at Ruby Beach, we had a magical moment inside a secluded rock formation, where the waves gently washed up on the sand between us. There, we shared our first dance to "Can’t Help Falling in Love," just like the iconic scene from Crazy Rich Asians, one of Frank’s favorite movies. The entire day felt like a dream come true.
The celebration continued with Chef Jesus working his magic in the kitchen. We ended the day gathered with friends, feasting on delicious tacos in the warmth and comfort of the Airbnb.
The experience felt perfectly true to us. We spent time hiking through lush rainforests, wandering along wild, windswept beaches, and even made a quick visit to Forks, though it was brief, since there was not much to see.
Although we could not invite everyone, please know that this does not diminish the immense love, gratitude, and joy we feel for you. You have all shaped our lives and our relationship in countless ways, and we carry that with us always. We hope you can share in the happiness of this milestone and understand that you were in our hearts as we exchanged our vows.
We will not be having a formal reception, but our hearts and home are always open to you. We hope you will stay close, share time with us, and visit us in beautiful Washington. Your presence in our lives means everything, and we look forward to creating many more memories together.
Thank you for your love, your support, and for being part of our journey.
In Love,
Frank & Jesus
